Michelangelo Hair House has been owned
and operated by Josie Cavalluzzi since 1973.
She started her career by attending a vocational
high school and became a cosmetologist at 18.
Josie worked her way thru college by doing her
dorm-mates hair. Her love of chemistry landed
her a job with Zotos R. & D. where she trained as
a perm wave technician, traveling and doing
platform work training others.
Josie’s passion for this profession eventually led
her to open her own salon. It’s evolution over the
years from a local beauty “parlor” to it’s upscale
image of today with over 40 employees is a
testimony to her vision of the ever changing nature
of this business. She prides herself in launching many
successful careers and continues to do so today with our apprentice program.
Josie credits her belief in continuous education for her success and others. Through classes and seminars for our Artistic Team we provide the latest in cutting edge techniques and styles for our clients. We believe it’s what makes MHH “The Best of the Best”.
We pride ourselves in being active in community services. We are pleased to be a participating salon for Locks of Love, donate services to Haven Hills (domestic violence), collect donations for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, American Cancer Society
American Family Housing for the Homeless and our local churches and temples.
MHH has been featured in film, T.V. and print publications and voted “Best Salon in the Valley” by the Daily News. We were recently featured on FOX’s ‘Good Day L.A.’ the Boulevard magazine, Big Media USA and the L.A. Times, just to mention a few.
Our innovative product lines includes Unite Eurotherapy, Redken, Nioxin and Ermanno Militi.
On behalf of our entire team, we welcome you to Michelangelo Hair House.
